Here is a little update on what we are doing these days. Our little boy is growing up!
For the past couple of weeks we have been introducing Isaac to the POTTY! (More pictures later-as we progress). One night I found him in the bathroom and when I asked him what he was doing he said "I go potty now." I thought-Oh no! Are we really ready for all that?! So we bought a small potty and set up a little spot in the bathroom where we have been practicing sitting, wiping, and flushing at certain times of the day. He has only actually peed once! But he sure loves hanging out in there. As he gathers more understanding about the whole concept we will set it into full swing...stay tuned!
Today we visited a Christian Academy that he will be going to in the Fall. Billy and I were very pleased. He will be in the older two class on Tues & Thurs. I think it will be a lot of fun for him. They even do a Christmas program with all ages! You know the cameras are flashing during that production!
Also-today I had an interview with our county's CASA program (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to become a volunteer. I will be involved with foster children-helping navigate them through the system and being a voice and a decision maker in whether they will return to their birthfamilies or be adopted. You can check out all that CASA does at www.nationalcasa.org They accepted me into the program so during the month of February, I will complete 30 hours of training classes and then we will be sworn in with a judge on March 13th. I am very excited about this!! I will talk more about it in future posts.
