Are you shocked that I love the Dixie Chicks...you know with their "liberal" beliefs and all?! Well I do and I was very proud that they went home with 5 Grammy awards in some of the best categories of the night...like Album of the Year! You go girls! Okay...for the record...no I don't agree with what Natalie said years ago, but I always supported her right as a free American to say it and I did not burn my Chick CD's...yes I own all of them. They are a part of my regular rotation. And yet I did support country music for not playing their songs anymore. Country music still is conservative in many ways, which is just fine by me! Might this just be the first time in my life I have held two opposing views at the same time? huh. Something to think about.
Funny story- my friend Kristi and I went to their concert a month ago and there was really hardly any one there for American Airlines center. And we got cussed out by the guy in front of us for talking too much! oops! Ironic...because their tour was called "shut up and sing." hmmmmm....
Something tells me the Grammy award winning Chicks will be singing to sold out crowds from now on...
