A Day of Reflection

We reflect and pray today for the 32 students and staff killed at Virginia Tech.

We remember Billy's family dog, Buster who was laid to rest yesterday after more than 13 years as the families' adoring pet. We pray for the hearts of his parents and sister as they grieve.

And we are ashamed that the war continues to rage on overseas as Americans here seem more concerned about who to vote off of American Idol.

May the good Lord forgive us for all the ways we replace Him with those little things in life that we think will make us happy and bring peace. We know that Jesus is the only One who will bring peace, to those He has called and redeemed, on the glorious Day of his return. For this we wait.

Today we will reflect and pray.
