Weekend Update

Yesterday, we had the kids dedicated at church! They looked so cute in their clothes (thanks to Mazzie for the dress!) Billy and I gave them little blue and pink Bibles with their names engraved on the cover.
My Mom was there and she videotaped, but my Dad was admitted into the hospital on Saturday, so we don't have pictures of us on stage. The plan is that this afternoon I should be able to get my Dad and take him home. He was severely dizzy (among other symptoms) and the Dr. thinks he has an infection in his middle ear. So they have him on antibiotics. Poor Dad! We missed you at the dedication!
My parents had my niece for the weekend and so we brought Samantha here Sat. night while they were at the emergency room. The kids enjoyed their time with cousin!

Isaac and Samantha had their first sleep-over!
They stayed in bed and fell asleep just fine.
Good job guys!

And finally- Isaac had his 3 year check-up at the Doctor on Friday. He has not been to the Dr. in a year- healthy as a horse-and they were very impressed by his language development. His pediatrician said he couldn't believe he was only 3 by how much he converses. He is a whopping 38 pounds of pure muscle and just under 40 inches tall. When he got his flu shot he goes "What are you doing?" as she put the needle to his arm then "Don't!" when they put it in, but NO tears or fussing! Can you believe that? He liked the band-aid. Then about 15 minutes later in the car he started to fuss and I asked him what he was upset about and he said "that dr. put a shot in my arm!! Waaaa!" Can we say, delayed reaction? Goodness.
